Arrested for grand larceny at the tender age of 9, she navigated the foster care system, eventually finding stability and purpose in the US Army. Little did she know, the battles she faced within herself were far from over.
Post-military separation, the veteran grappled with emotional turmoil, resorting to self-medication that led to a tumultuous life on the streets. Decades passed, marked by sabotaged relationships and a relentless desire to keep everyone at arm’s length. However, today, this resilient veteran stands as a testament to the power of transformation.
Learning to establish meaningful connections became the cornerstone of her journey. From trusting herself to trusting others, she underwent a profound shift in her perspective on the world. The result? A fuller, richer life marked by acceptance of herself, the inevitable pitfalls, successes, people, and life in general.
